ASM GLOBAL, a public facilities management company, has immediate openings for part-time Bartender at Save Mart Center. This position is responsible for providing high quality customer service during all events, to achieve customer satisfaction and accurate accounting of all transactions, including inventory. To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. Essential duties include setting up and servicing individual beverage locations, properly handling cash, enforcing all liquor laws, verifying and accounting for all liquor inventory, maintaining proper sanitation of work area, following proper safety practices, providing pleasant and efficient service to customers, preparing all beverage items for sale, selling to customers, receiving and handling cash and/or tickets, verifying cash and liquor inventory with supervisor, ensuring cash register is programmed properly, following bar procedures and all rules and regulations related to beverage operations, requesting identification for every guest purchasing alcohol, and performing other related duties as assigned by Food Service Manager. Qualifications include obtaining a valid California RBS certification, being at least 21 years of age, passing a clean background and credit check, being reliable and dependable, ability to take directions and perform work effectively, sufficient math ability to handle money, basic knowledge of cash register and cash handling procedures, good English communication skills, pleasant personality and neat appearance, ability to stand and walk for the duration of shift, ability to carry and lift according to industry standards, and ability to work flexible hours including nights, weekends, and holidays. Education and experience requirements include basic knowledge of cash register and bar operation, sufficient math ability, ability to follow directions, and a pleasant personality. Skills and abilities required include a positive customer service attitude, strong knowledge of sanitary practices, proper grooming and dress code, strong work ethic, ability to work in a team, ability to multitask, and attention to detail. Physical demands include moving around the facility, standing for long hours, talking and hearing, working inside or outside as needed, standing, stooping, and lifting up to 40 lbs regularly.
