Department Assistant (HR, L&D) needed for a contract opportunity with Yoh's entertainment client located in San Mateo, CA
Job Details
Duration: 3-4 months (Leave coverage) Possibility to extend.
Location: San Mateo, CA 94402
Schedule: Hybrid role – Onsite as needed
Hours: 8AM-5PM
Pay Rate: $35-38 per hour (Max)
- This is a long-term contract role that will be 6+ months and offer hybrid flexibly.
- The ideal candidate will have 2+ years Human Resources experience.
Position Overview
- Provides analytical and specialized administrative support to relieve executive, administrative, and line and staff managers of complex details and advanced administrative duties.
- Executes special or continuous research and data analysis tasks.
- Analyzes problems, determines approach, compiles and analyzes data, and prepares reports/recommendations.
- Coordinates activities between departments and outside parties.
- Contacts company personnel at all organizational levels to gather information and prepare reports.
- Work is generally of a critical or confidential nature. Assignments may be found in various functional areas.
- Knowledge : Acquires job skills and learns company policies and procedures to complete routine tasks.
- Complexity : Works on assignments that are routine in nature, requiring limited judgment. Has little or no role in decision-making.
- Supervision : Normally receives detailed instructions on all work. Works under close supervision

What you’ll be doing
- Provide administrative, communication, and training support to Learning & Development (L&D) programs and initiatives
- Manage arrangements for learning programs, including marketing, scheduling, registration, hospitality and catering, day-of support, and post-event evaluation.
- Support vendor management through PO Processing and keeping records up to date
- Produce virtual learning engagements including, room management, taking attendance and troubleshooting technical issues.
- Research and source external learning content and facilitators.

- 2+ years L&D prog Mgmt experience.
