Job Description

Our client, a leading litigation-focused law firm is seeking a Legal Administrative Assistant to join their growing team out of their Dallas, TX location! This is a fantastic opportunity for a highly organized and detail-oriented legal professional with strong administrative and litigation support experience to play a vital role within a collaborative legal team.

About the Role:

The Legal Administrative Assistant will provide comprehensive administrative and litigation support to a group of attorneys. This position requires a strong background in legal document preparation, file and calendar management, and administrative coordination in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide administrative support to attorneys, including scheduling meetings, managing calendars, coordinating travel, and handling correspondence.
  • Prepare and format legal documents including pleadings, discovery, motions, subpoenas, correspondence, and reports.
  • File legal documents with federal and state courts using e-filing systems (e.g., PACER, Texas eFile).
  • Manage attorney timekeeping and assist with monthly billing processes.
  • Open, organize, and maintain physical and electronic case files with attention to confidentiality and compliance.
  • Monitor and track court deadlines and case-specific milestones.
  • Communicate with clients, court personnel, and other legal professionals in a courteous and professional manner.
  • Perform other administrative duties as assigned to ensure the efficiency of the legal team.

Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of experience in a legal administrative or litigation support role within a law firm or corporate legal department.
  • Experience working in litigation practice areas, including familiarity with court procedures and filings.
  • Proficiency with MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint) and document management systems.
  • Strong knowledge of e-filing systems in both state and federal courts.
  • High attention to detail and the ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines.
  • Excellent communication, time management, and organizational skills.
  • A proactive and collaborative attitude with a client-service mindset.
