Contract Podiatrist Opportunity Fort Duchesne, UT

The Fort Duchesne Health Center, part of Indian Health Services (IHS), is seeking a part-time Contract Podiatrist to provide essential foot and ankle care to patients in a unique tribal healthcare setting. This role offers the chance to make a real impactone day per weekin a region known for its natural beauty and cultural significance.

About the Role:
You will be responsible for providing comprehensive podiatric care in our family clinic, delivering high-quality assessments, diagnoses, and treatment plans with support staff available. Your scope will include:

• Conducting routine foot and ankle evaluations and treatment
• Performing minor podiatric procedures (e.g., toenail removals, debridement, wound care)
• Managing diabetic foot care and other chronic conditions
• Ordering and interpreting diagnostic tests (e.g., X-rays, labs)
• Creating and managing care plans for patients with podiatric conditions
• Coordinating follow-up care and referrals as needed

Position Details:

• 1 day per week (flexible scheduling available)
• Adults and Geriatric Patients
• Part-time, up to a 1-year contract with possible extensions
• Located at Fort Duchesne Health Center

Requirements:

• 23 years of experience in clinical podiatry
• Previous Locum Tenens experience preferred
• BLS certification required
• Valid license in any U.S. state
• Experience working independently in outpatient or tribal health settings

Requirements:
Must possess a current, active, full, and unrestricted license or registration from a State, the District of Columbia, the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, or a territory of the United States.

Must have current BLS, Basic Life Support certification

Certification of Education copy of diploma or transcripts

Doctor of Podiatric Medicine (DPM) degree from an accredited institution

DEA license and eligibility to prescribe medication

Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience in Podiatry

Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities

Strong diagnostic, clinical, organizational and time-management skills

Proficiency in electronic health record (EHR) systems

Must be a US citizen living primarily in the United States

Willingness to comply with all state and federal regulations regarding medical practice

Must be willing to undergo a federal background check
