Job Summary:

The Valet Parking Attendant will welcome guests, and park and retrieve guests' vehicles safely.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

  • None.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Greet and welcome guests to the hotel and offer professional services.
  • Accommodate guests by opening all doors and assisting with luggage or other items.
  • Direct traffic in the parking area as needed.
  • Operate guests' vehicles safely.
  • Keep an organized record of tickets and keys assigned to each vehicle/guest.
  • Ensure vehicles are parked safely and securely.
  • Inspect vehicles upon arrival for existing damage and document as necessary.
  • Answer inquiries pertaining to hotel policies, services and resolve occupants' complaints.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

Required Skills & Abilities:

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Exceptional driving skills when transporting guests' vehicle to secure parking location. Experience driving vehicles with both manual and automatic transmissions.
  • Adapts to varying weather conditions, traffic patterns, and customer demands. Can quickly adjust to changes in work schedules or tasks.

Education & Experience:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor's degree in relevant field is strongly preferred.
  • Proven safe driver, with a clean driving record. Must have a valid and up-to-date driver's license.

Physical Requirements:

  • Physically able to drive a vehicle for prolonged periods of time.
  • Must be able to lift and move luggage weighing up to 60 pounds.
  • Moves to, from, and throughout the parking lot.
