Position description The Department of Anthropology at the University of California, San Diego invites applications for a full-time Assistant Professor in Linguistic Anthropology, to begin July 1, 2025. We seek a colleague with an imaginative, rigorous, and significant research program who will publish actively, teach and mentor graduate and undergraduate students, and participate in departmental service. The area of specialization is open, but a strong grounding in ethnographic methods and anthropological theory is essential. Candidates must have completed a Ph.D. by the start date. We prefer candidates who have experience teaching at the college or university level.
